              Genesis 3:19 

       In the sweat of thy face shalt

thou eat bread, till thou return unto

the ground; for out of it wast thou

taken: for dust thou art, and unto

dust shalt thou return.

     Genesis 2:7 

     And the Lord God formed

man of the dust of the ground,

and breathed into his nostrils

the breath of life; and man

became a living soul.

  

      Revelation 20:12 

      And I saw the dead, small and

great, stand before God; and the books

were opened: and another book was

opened, which is  the book  of life: and

the dead were judged out of those

things which were written in the books,

according to their works.

      

     Psalms 49:14 

 

     Like sheep they are laid in the grave;

death shall feed on them; and the upright

shall have dominion over them in the

morning; and their beauty shall consume

in the grave from their dwelling.

     

     1 Samuel 2:6 

      The LORD killeth, and maketh alive:

he bringeth down to the grave, and bringeth

up.

     Psalms 6:5 

     For in death there is  no

remembrance of thee: in the

grave who shall give thee

thanks?

 

     Ecclesiastes 9:10 

     Whatsoever thy hand findeth to

do, do it with thy might; for there is

no work, nor device, nor knowledge,

nor wisdom, in the grave, whither

thou goest.

 

     Job 7:9  

     As  the cloud is consumed and

vanisheth away: so he that goeth

down to the grave shall come up

no more.

     

    Job 21:32 

     Yet shall he be brought to the grave,

and shall remain in the tomb.

 

      Isaiah 38:18 

     For the grave cannot praise thee,

death can not celebrate thee: they

that go down into the pit cannot hope

for thy truth.

 

     Ecclesiastes 9:5,6 

     For the living know that they

shall die: but the dead know not

any thing, neither have they any

more a reward; for the memory

of them is forgotten.

 

    Also their love, and their hatred,

and their envy, is now perished;

neither have they any more a

portion for ever in any  thing 

that is done under the sun.

 

      Isaiah 26:14

 They are dead, they shall not live;

they are deceased, they shall not rise:

therefore hast thou visited and

destroyed them, and made all their

memory to perish.

 

      Psalms 115:17 

 

     The dead praise not the Lord,

neither any that go down into silence.

     

     Job knew that if he was faithful

to the end, when Jesus comes he

will be in the resurrection of the

righteous dead to see Jesus in the

clouds of glory.

     Job 19:26 

     And though after my skin worms

destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall

I see God:

 

     Ezekiel 33:11 

     Say unto them, As I live, saith

the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure

in the death of the wicked; but that

the wicked turn from his way and

live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil

ways; for why will ye die, O house

of Israel?

 

     Ecclesiastes 3:20 

     All go unto one place; all are of

the dust, and all turn to dust again.

 

    Job 34:15 

All flesh shall perish together,

and man shall turn again unto

dust.

 

      Psalms 103:14 

     For he knoweth our frame;

he remembereth that we are dust.

 

      Psalms 104:29

 

      Thou hidest thy face, they are

troubled: thou takest away their

breath, they die, and return to

their dust.

 

     Ecclesiastes 12:7 

     Then shall the dust return to the

earth as it was: and the spirit shall

return unto God who gave it.

 

      Daniel 12:2 

     And many of them that sleep

in the dust of the earth shall awake,

some to everlasting life, and some

to shame and everlasting contempt.

 

Jesus was in the grave but He

arose and did not see corruption.

      Psalms 16:10 

      For thou wilt not

leave my soul in hell;

 neither wilt thou suffer

thine Holy One to see

corruption.
